Fanlistings are little websites where all the fans of a particular show, movie, actor/actress, singer, etc. come together for the only purpose of building the biggest listing of people all around the world who are fans of that subject. Simple and maybe useless, but highly addictive. This one, like many others, has been approved by the Anime Fanlistings Network.

Nara Shikamaru and Tayuya are both characters from the now widely known manga/anime Naruto. Shikamaru is a shinobi from Konoha village and he seems, on the surface, a rather laid-back boy. But he's actually a genius in disguise and incredibly mature for his age. Tayuya is the only kunoichi (female ninja) of the Sound Four. She's also pretty good in battle tactics, like Shikamaru, and also in musical art (no wonder her weapon is a flute). She's one of the most powerful among Orochimaru's shinobis.

Their canon relationship (this fanlisting doesn't cover their rivalry) is founded in the admiration of their qualities as shinobi as well as their intelligence... even though they're fighting each other. Shikamaru bets she'd be great at playing shougi XD Tayuya despises him at first, but in the end she realizes his incredible intelligence. And well, there's also the fan-based 'ship, of course: I like to think I'm not the only one who saw a 'special' kind of tension when they fought, or who thought if they had not been on different sides they'd probably have been friends (or even something more). But no matter in what whay you support them together, you can join this fanlisting :3

The name of this site, Shadow Melody (kindly suggested by Shadow ^^) comes from a mix of his and her skills: Shikamaru's main jutsu is the Kagemane no Jutsu (Shadow Copy Technique) and as I said before, Tayuya uses music played wiith her flute to both attack and control the enemy. Since their relationship is focused in their battle, I thought the name fits perfectly.

This is the first layout for Shadow Melody, with a blending made from two episode 121 screencaps taken by me and brushes from V-brush. Background pattern from Squidfingers.
