about

Kohza had the spirit of a rebel since he was a little child. When a drought left almost no hope of survival in the little town he was born, a 5-year-old Kohza stood against King Cobra and demanded him to make it rain again. Eight years later, he will be the one leading the rebel army against the King.

Princess Vivi is not your average heir to the throne. Since her childhood, she lived as any other child and was very aware of the actual problems and hopes of the people. When she grew up and the Dance Powder crisis took up, she didn't hesitate to disguise herself as a Baroque Works member...

Kohza and Vivi's first encounter was not what you may be expecting. Kohza wasn't in a very good mood after yelling to King Cobra that he should bring back rain to his village, and he ended up crying.

Vivi saw him and called him "crybaby", and then the two started fighting. But when their little fight was over, Kohza accepted Vivi in his group of friends and self-proclaimed defenders of the country, the Suna Suna Clan. The two of them spent a great part of their childhood together, developing a strong friendship that even made Kohza risk her life for her, when some thugs wanted to kidnap the princess. The entire Suna Suna Clan rescued her, and Kohza got that scar in his eye then. But they took different ways when Toto, Kohza's father, was chosen to build a town in the Oasis of Yuba.

Some years later, King Cobra (Vivi's father) was accused of stealing the rain from other near towns and oasis with the Dance Powder. Kohza had lost his faith for the king, and so built a rebel army, with him as their leader, to take over the country from Cobra. On the other hand, Vivi, destroyed by the false accusations thrown over the entire Royal Family of Alabasta, decided to prove people they were wrong. Suspecting the organization Baroque Works to be behind it, she entered it to get more information. That's when she met the Strawhat Pirates, and eventually joined them and asked them to help her reaching her goal.

Both of them will hurry up to Alubarna with different purposes. But could they have forgotten their friendship?
